چکیده

This study presents an evaluation framework for the techno-economic-environmental (TEE) performance of integrated multi-vector energy networks (IMVENs) including geothermal energy. Geothermal storage (GES) offers huge potential both and supply can play a critical role in decarbonising heat load smart multi-energy grids. The two most common types GES, that is, high-temperature GES (HTGES) low-temperature (LTGES), were modelled within framework. evaluates impact different low carbon sources HTGES, LTGES, wind Photovoltaics (PV) on amount imported from upstream, operational costs emissions IMVENs to meet region. performs TEE analysis any configuration IMVEN representing future system pathways provide basis well-informed design choices decarbonise heat. was tested real-world case study, several configurations designed analysed. results reveal efficient, cost effective least carbon-intensive meeting are benefitting high penetration pumps respectively.

Flexibility Analysis for Smart Grid Demand Response

Flexibility is a key enabler for the smart grid, required to facilitate Demand Side Management (DSM) programs, managing electrical consumption to reduce peaks, balance renewable generation and provide ancillary services to the grid. Flexibility analysis is required to identify and quantify the available electrical load of a site or building which can be shed or increased in response to a DSM si...

Secure Demand Shaping for Smart Grid

The increasing usage of sensor-actuator networks by NCS/SCADA systems raises significant concerns about privacy. Developing novel schemes for demand response in smart electric gird is an increasingly active research area. These schemes aim to control/flatten demand curves and shift consumption times to the off-peak periods, which allows to to improve efficiency. Indeed, higher volatility of use...

A New Method for Hybrid Energy Storage Capacity Determination in Isolated Micro Grid

In recent years, hybrid energy storage (HES) to increase lifetime and reliability extremely are used in renewable systems and microgrids. In this paper, a new method for determining battery and supercapacitor capacity in an isolated microgrid is presented. Difference between Generation and load power using discrete fourier transform is transferred to the frequency domain and by determining the ...
